Your Task
What you will do:
Considering all of this, you will assume the role of a literary historian who will complete a study on a particular author. You will research the author you have selected. It is your goal, as a historian, to explain the historical and/or cultural connections between 1-3 works this author has written and his/her own life. Along the way make your own connections to the works you have selected, the history behind them, and/or cultural
connections as well.
By the end of your author study, you will be able to present your findings to others who may know very little about the connections between history, culture, and your author's works.
You will have completed your job as a literary historian!

What are the rules for choosing works?
1-3 works by the author you have selected to study.
you may choose:
1 long work (multiple cantos)
or
2 medium length works (longer than one page)
(do not make font smaller to condense poetry)
or
three short works
Your task is to become a historian researching cultural/historical connections of multiple works by the same author. You will select 1-3 works by the author you have selected. You must read what you select so that you can make connections. Through careful Research and effective time management you will create a presentation that presents your findings about the historical and/or cultural connections of multiple works by your author. You will present the information in the form of a research document and participate in a formal British tea party, where your author is invited by her Majesty, the Queen.
